Smart VR Education App for High School Science

ARS developed a gamified virtual reality application in Unreal Engine to support high school science education. As a result, the app was developed for students to create virtual physics projects for emerging tech. During development, gamification was created in virtual reality (VR) with a headset. It was made with an option to interact on the web and on iOS mobile. The applications includes chemistry, physics, following directions, mechanical building, and assembling a crane.

Key Educational Curriculum Features

• An immersive virtual chemistry lab to create standard experiments to connect teachers and students during regular lab or off-campus classes. 
• Additionally, students can experience unseen reactions to make chemistry and physics easier to learn
• The system records student steps for teacher evaluations so they subsequently understand how students learn
• Lab experiments are safer, easier to learn, and above all, fun
• Teachers access and manage all lab experiments remotely. As a result, experiments are conducted in class or as a take home assignment
• Transparent science models to understand and construct mechanical devices. For instance, students can take apart a gear to see inside
• The app is equipped with a hands on training program due to the immersive requirements. More specifically, ARS included a customer specified story to build mechanics with gamified science cases
• The customer required a range of options for the students. Accordingly, the app works in 3D web, virtual reality (VR), and Mobile

Challenges and Core Considerations

• The client asked ARS to create a 3D environment for students with hands-on immersive learning. ARS utilized traditional curriculum to emulate real world science projects. However, content is digital but engaging, to improve interaction and learning
